Boris Johnson: “People Should Use Own Judgement On Facemasks”

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will tell the public today that they should “carefully manage” the risks of covid-19. He is expected to say that compulsory facemasks will be scrapped on July 19th but that people should consider wearing them in crowded enclosed places.

Government ministers will say that even though the public will not be legally required to wear a mask, shops and public transport may well continue to enforce the policy. I’ve talked about this in previous articles. They’re passing the buck to the private sector.

Speaking to SKY News yesterday, Housing Secretary Robert Buckland was asked whether he would ditch his mask after July 19th. He replied: “I will, I don’t particularly want to wear a mask. I don’t think a lot of people enjoy doing it.”

However, the scientists see it differently. Adam Finn from the Government’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) said that he would continue wearing his mask “indefinitely.” He told The Telegraph:

“On a personal level I shall certainly be continuing to wear a mask if I’ve got any symptoms or if I’m in an enclosed space with lots of other people for a prolonged period of time, indefinitely in fact.”

Calum Semple, Professor of Child Health at Liverpool University, told SKY News this morning that he would also continue to wear a mask in certain settings. “It’s not about protecting you,” he told SKY’s Niall Paterson. “It’s to stop you passing on the virus to someone else.”

These restrictions are never gong away. The whole purpose of the scamdemic is to change human behavior irrevocably. Why doesn’t the Prime Minister say that the restrictions will be lifted on July 19th and that it will be unlawful for businesses to reimpose them?

Because the restrictions are here to stay. Last week, the government said that people would not be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative test to go to concerts, sporting events or festivals. They said that there would be no domestic vaccine passport.

However, the government then went on to say that organisers might want to introduce the measures themselves. They’re simply passing the buck. It’s doublespeak. It’s the same now with the masks.

Johnson will set out the final steps of his so-called roadmap out of lockdown this afternoon.
