SKY News anchor Kay Burley interviewed Professor Mike Tildesley this morning. He’s an expert in infectious diseases at Warwick University. They discussed covid case numbers, booster shots and Winter lockdowns. At one point Burley asked him:
“How important is it to potentially look at penalising people if they don’t have their vaccinations?”
Burley is wretched. Has the daft ginger bint not heard that social care workers will be fired if they haven’t been jabbed by this Thursday? If that isn’t penalising people, then what is?
In reply to her ridiculous question, Tildesley said:
“I think it’s a really difficult one and I think this is where we get into very very dangerous territory. I think it is important to encourage people to come out and get their jabs.
I think it is actually worth remembering that even with the very successful vaccination campaign, there are some populations where vaccine uptake is much lower.
It does appear to be areas of high deprivation. Certain minority ethnic communities vaccine uptake is low. I would want to go down the route of encouraging individuals in those communities, maybe getting local leaders involved, trying to encourage vaccine uptake…..to protect those communities as we move towards the Winter.”
Vaccine passports are coming and soon. The decision has already been made to follow the lead of Scotland and Wales. As I reported earlier, former Health Secretary Matt Hancock has called for covid jabs to be made compulsory for NHS staff right now.
How long before no jab, no jab is applied to every single worker in every industry? Not long. My guess would be before the end of next year.
