Two women were getting it on in a car on Dartmoor in the small hours of this morning, when they were busted by a routine police patrol. The women had braved the -3 degree cold and driven 10 miles from their home in Plymouth, to a popular dogging spot for a good shag. Officers arrived on the scene and broke up the romp. The women were told to go home, think of the NHS and advised that it was likely they’d be fined £200 each.
Tavistock Police Tweeted at 2:17 AM this morning:
“Fornicating under the stars, on the moors, may seem like this year’s latest romcom, but it is not an essential journey and certainly breaks social distancing guidance. Please continue to abide by Covid-19 legislation to help prevent the spread of Covid.”
Fornicating? Is the Press Officer for Tavistock Police 89 years old and a member of Opus Dei? Devon & Cornwall Police also issued a statement:
“During a routine patrol, officers from the Tavistock Neighbourhood Team discovered two people in-breach of social distancing regulations, in a car at a remote location near Yelverton, West Dartmoor, late on Wednesday 10 February. The officers spoke to the individuals who were subsequently instructed to return to their respective home addresses; both were reported for breaching COVID-19 regulations.”
A local woman told the Mail Online:
“The police regularly patrol car parks and other remote spots around Dartmoor because they know that more often than not doggers will be out breaking the rules. And that is what happened last night apparently, the officers wandered over to the car with the windows steamed up and caught the women at it. They were told in no uncertain terms to go home which they did straight away.”
We have entered The Twilight Zone haven’t we? Police are now wandering around known dogging spots, banging on steamy car windows and telling people who are having sex to pull up their undercrackers and go home. Oh, and here’s a £200 fine to take with you, you dirty selfish bastards.
