Trans news-reader and Loose Women panellist India Willoughby contacted Gosport Ferry to accuse one of its captain’s of transphobia.
Kevin Clark replied “a man,” in response to a tweet from someone who tweeted “Who and what is India Willoughby?”
Firstly, India Willoughby is indeed a man who thinks he’s a woman. Let’s get that out of the way.
Gosport Ferry company apologised and assured Willoughby that it would deal with the matter and speak to Clark:
“We are dealing with this matter and the individual as a priority. This certainly falls short of our Company values & beliefs & we apologise unreservedly.”
Clark’s entitled to his views on biological sex. It’s none of his employer’s business.
The Woman’s Rights Network of Cornwall and Devon criticised the ferry company, tweeting:
“When was compelled speech and the ability to suspend belief added to the job descriptions of your staff. India Willoughby is no more a woman than I am a man. People do not change sex and none of us are compelled to go along with their fantasy. Defend your employee!”
Hear! Hear!
India Willoughby is a man. I know, I said that already but it bears repeating. And shame on Loose Women for booking him to appear as a panellist. It’s a show for women. Women don’t have penises.
There is no such thing as a she-cock.
