Kanye West Tells Alex Jones That Hitler Did Good Things

Kanye West, who these days goes by the name Ye, told Infowars host Alex Jones that Hitler wasn’t all bad. West said Hitler invented highways and “the very microphone” he uses as a musician.

Following his appearance on Infowars, he posted a star of David with a swastika on his Twitter account.

He was promptly suspended.

According to The Telegraph:

The disgraced rapper wore a full black face mask as he said the Nazi leader deserved some praise, in the latest in a long line of disturbing and hateful anti-semitic comments.

West, known by his stage name Ye, told Jones: “I see good things about Hitler (…) This guy [Adolf Hitler] that invented highways and invented the very microphone that I use as a musician, you can’t say out loud that this person ever did anything good. I’m done with that,” he continued. “Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler.”

West has expressed a slew of anti-semitic opinions in recent weeks. In October, he was locked out of his Twitter account after saying he would go “death con 3” on Jewish people.

The 45-year-old was promptly stripped of several lucrative partnerships with companies such as Adidas and Balenciaga.

CNN last month reported that West had privately been praising Hitler for years, but Thursday’s remarks were the first time he had commented on the Nazi leader in public.

The rapper, who plans on running for president in 2024, said: “They did good things too, we’ve got to stop dissing the Nazis all the time.”

He added: “The Jewish media has made us feel like the Nazis and Hitler have never offered anything of value to the world.”

West also took credit for “popularising” anti-semitism, saying: “No one in high school knew what antisemitic meant until Ye made it popular.”

In a statement following the broadcast, the Republican Jewish Coalition said: “Given his praise of Hitler, it cannot be overstated that Kanye West is a vile, repellent bigot.

“Conservatives who have mistakenly indulged Kanye West must make it clear that he is a pariah. Enough is enough.”

Some supporters of West have felt emboldened to raise anti-Jewish banners in cities across the US since he began making his comments.

At points, even Jones – who recently lost a $1billion defamation case brought by the families of the Sandy Hook massacre – pushed back at the torrent of anti-semitism, saying “I think most Jews are great people,” but adding, “I agree there’s a Jewish mafia.”

Much of what else was said is not suitable for print and The Telegraph has chosen not to repeat the comments.
