In an interview in today’s Daily Telegraph, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said that using vaccine passports for everyday social activities, would be “against the British instinct.”
Starmer said that it should not be left to pub landlords and other businesses to implement such a scheme. He went on to say that the idea is a complex one and that he would wait to see cabinet secretary Michael Gove’s review, before deciding whether to oppose the idea.
The Labour Party leader told the Telegraph;
“My instinct is that, as the vaccine is rolled-out, as the number of hospital admissions and deaths go down, there will be a British sense that we don’t actually want to go down this road.”
Yesterday, SKY News reported that an Ipsos MORI poll, found that 78% of people are in favour of vaccine passports to travel abroad or to visit a relative living in a care home.
Support was also high for using the document to see a loved one in hospital (74%), or to go to the theatre or an indoor concert (68%), and for gym use or leisure centre use (63%).
Keir Starmer is one of the worst opposition leaders in history. He has stood by while Boris Johnson’s government has turned the country into a police state and ruined the economy. Rather than challenge the efficacy or necessity of lockdown, Starmer has called for faster and tougher measures throughout.
Now trailing Johnson in the polls, Starmer realises that he’s got to actually oppose something. Even then, he can’t find it within himself to condemn vaccine passports for what they are.
Who uses language like “against the British instinct?” Call it what it is man. It’s tyranny.
Keir Starmer is a wet fart. As sure as today is Thursday, the Labour Party will go along with whatever the government decides. Starmer’s strings are pulled by the same puppet-master that pulls Boris Johnson’s.
