If you caught Monday’s Richie Allen Show, you’ll have heard me tear into SKY’s Kay Burley for claiming yesterday, that there are fourteen times more people in hospital now, than this time last year.
Burley wasn’t alone. ITV’s Good Morning Britain, The Guardian and The iPaper made the same claim throughout Monday. You may well wonder how that could happen.
I’ve been explaining how the legacy media works, for many years. That undiluted bullshit was reported yesterday, because NHS England boss Amanda Pritchard said it on SKY News. She was on scaremongering detail.
“The NHS is at risk of being overwhelmed,” she said. “There are 14 times more people in hospital than at this time last year. Come forward and have your jabs and your boosters!”
Did a single producer or presenter bother to check the outlandish claim? No chance. I said on the radio show yesterday, that on several occasions over the years I’ve told a producer who handed me a piece of paper that I would not read it on-air. I told them to go and double-check. I would always check for myself during an ad break.
Pritchard was bullshitting. The government’s dashboard data, accessible in seconds, shows that covid infections and hospitalisations are considerably lower than this time last year.
The media investigates nothing. I said that in another article yesterday. Journalism is dead. There is no journalism. Ever wonder why the news channels cover the exact same stories and in the exact same order in the run down?
The reason is very simple. The broadcast media gets its editorial from the same places. It comes from Reuters, The Associated Press and United Press International. It’s known as rip n read. It’s too simplistic to call it lazy. It’s much more sinister than that.
Those three news agencies alone, account for about 95 per cent of media output on any given day. Do you think that broadcasters check the claims or the facts contained within the stories they pull down from these agencies?
Think again. There is no journalism. It’s dead. It’s wall to wall propaganda now. That’s why we are where we are.
