If I’m honest the lockdowns and disruptions have had little significant impact on my life or health.
Thanks to the covert hostility of a woke workplace I was already out of work when coronavirus mania hit the nation; and while my social circle, in recent years, has contracted significantly, my few social interactions have only suffered brief hiatuses.
So the thought or prospect of some kind of national normality returning (however briefly) will make little difference.
Not so for some of the people around me, as I have very recently discovered. These are people who I would have described as extrovert or ‘outgoing’ – but who have now lost that zest for life, that desire to be around other people.
How many others, I wonder, have fallen foul of this and embraced the ‘lockdown blues’?
