File this one under you just couldn’t make it up. A primary school is under-fire after it was revealed it staged CSI style murder scenes, to teach children as young as seven about fingerprints.
According to The Mail Online:
Ramridge Primary School in Luton, Bedfordshire, has come under fire from irate parents ‘disgusted’ that Key Stage 2 children, typically those aged between seven and 11, were faced with the grisly scene.
The stunt was shared on Facebook with the school boasting it was ‘another terrible crime scene’ for unsuspecting children to investigate while learning about fingerprints during Science Week.
Graphic pictures shared on the school social media page shows police tape surrounding a child-sized mannequin wearing a grey school dress slumped over a table with blood surrounding her.
On the table an abandoned crowbar can be seen – apparently for kids to dust for prints.
In another set of pictures the child-sized mannequin can be seen sprawled face down on the floor with a crowbar and what appears to be a mobile phone next to the ‘body’.
Outraged parents flooded the post with angry comments condemning the school’s ‘disturbing’ lesson.
Responding to parents concerns, Ramridge Primary School said the matter had been passed to their local authority.
How do you go from “Let’s teach the children about fingerprints” to “I know, let’s set up a violent murder scene?!?”
The lunatics have taken over the asylum.
No child of mine would ever see the inside of a school.
