The medical microbiologist Professor David Livermore said today, that scientists won’t admit that lockdowns were the wrong approach to dealing with Covid-19, because science has become a religion.
Speaking to Talk Radio’s Julia Hartley-Brewer, Professor Livermore said:
“I think there is a real problem. Science, as I’ve always pursued it and understood it, is an experimental discipline. You come up with a hypothesis. You test that hypothesis by experiment and observation.
You are proven right or you are proven wrong. But this concept of THE science has become like a holy catechism.
It’s more like a religion than anything to do with what science is and should be. And I find that incredibly disturbing. And many people in science like me, likewise find it disturbing.”
