Last Sunday, former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and a woman thought to be a family member, collapsed on a bench in a supermarket in Salisbury. Skripal and the woman are in hospital with their condition described as critical. Wiltshire Police are saying that the couple had no visible injuries and an investigation is underway to determine whether or not a crime has been committed. Temporary Assistant Chief Constable Craig Holden said: "They are currently being treated for suspected exposure to an unknown substance.
Skripal is a retired Russian military intelligence officer who was convicted of passing the identities of Russian intelligence agents working undercover in Europe, to the UK's Secret Intelligence Service, MI6. A military court in Russia sentenced him to thirteen years, but he was one of four prisoners released by Moscow in exchange for 10 US spies as part of a swap and he was later flown to the UK. For now dear reader, that should be the end of the story right? A responsible newspaper or television newsreader would furnish you with those facts and leave it there. To recap, a man has collapsed, he's in hospital, he's a former double agent and police are investigating. No chance. Erm...Putin did it. Putin authorised it, the KGB never forgets and Putin also poisoned Alexander Litvinenko (defector, former Russian secret service) in 2006.
I swear to God, sometimes I want to scream. This is how far the UK media has sunk. I can't say that Skripal's former colleagues did not attack him, how could I? I don't know! He played a very dangerous game though right? Spy's know that if they turn traitor and sell out their country, as he did, that they might well pay the ultimate price. Every country in history has executed spies. Again, I am not saying that this guy was attacked by the KGB or the FSB, but the UK's news shows (show is so appropriate) are saying it. They're allowing people like former UK foreign secretary Malcolm Rifkind say that Putin "probably authorised it" without challenging him.
It would be so easy for me, to mimic the UK media and say for example.....Mi6 did it! There's an agenda to incessantly demonise Russia (there is), so Mi6 poisoned the man so that Russia could be blamed!! I could play that game. I won't of course. Wiltshire police haven't a clue yet. They don't even know if a crime was committed, but SKY and the BBC know. PUTIN DID IT! And the beat goes on.......
