A new series of government sponsored tv ads, aimed at terrifying the British public into staying at home and complying with the guidelines, aired on ITV and Channel 4 last night. Each ad features close-ups of patients who have had Covid wearing oxygen masks. The ads are accompanied by posters with bold slogans like; LOOK IN HER EYES AND TELL HER YOU NEVER BEND THE RULES or LOOK HIM IN THE EYES AND TELL HIM THE RISKS AREN’T REAL. It’s grim stuff. Some Tory backbench MP’s have accused the government of scaremongering.
More ads will run on radio, online and across social media from tonight, the Government has announced. There is growing opposition however. Last evening UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson made the totally unsubstantiated claim, that the Kent variant of the coronavirus could be 30 per cent more deadly than older versions of the virus. This has angered some Tory MP’s. According to The Daily Mail:
Tory backbencher Craig Mackinlay said some of the scientific warnings were reminiscent of ‘Project Fear’ – a term often used by Brexit campaigners against Remainers in the run-up to the EU referendum. The South Thanet MP, who is a member of the Covid Recovery Group (CRG), which opposes blanket lockdown measures, said there seemed to be ‘a new twist’ every time hope emerged of measures being eased. Mr Mackinlay told Mail Online: ‘It seems to me we are now being held hostage to a zero Covid policy which is completely unattainable – or if you do attain it we are going to be in lockdown for an incredibly long period. That just cannot be. ‘The next thing will be ‘’oh dear, this new variant from Timbuktu is not responsive to the vaccine’’, or ‘’the vaccine doesn’t work against it.”
The country is being held hostage by Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty and his partner in crime, the Chief Scientific Adviser Patrick Vallance. Shortly after Vallance told a terrified nation that the Kent strain could be 30 per cent more deadly than other strains, he admitted that the evidence was “still weak.” Worse still, later last night the New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group (NERVTAG), a subcommittee of SAGE, admitted that evidence for increased mortality remains very thin. NERVTAG papers show that the term “realistic possibility” is always used when they are only 40 to 50 per cent confident that something is true. This explains why Vallance made the sensational claim, while presenting no data to support it. The media of course, posing questions via ZOOM, didn’t challenge a word of it.
The UK press and broadcast media is now operating as the propaganda wing for a gang of criminals who are desperate that every man woman and child in the country take their experimental and potentially deadly vaccine, which actually isn’t a vaccine at all. Vallance admitted this again last night, telling the nation that the vaccine won’t prevent the recipient from catching the virus and it’s unknown whether it will help prevent transmission. It’s astonishing isn’t it? “Have the jab and when you get Covid, the symptoms won’t be as bad” they say. As we learn of more sudden deaths and serious adverse effects afflicting those who have had it, I say no thanks, not for me.
