Speaking to the Commons Science and Technology Select Committee this morning, England’s Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty said:
“Things can go bad very quickly. A lot of people may think it’s all over but I would encourage them to look at continental Europe right now. It is easy to forget how quickly things can turn bad if you don’t keep an eye on them.”
Whitty also told the committee this morning that the country’s vaccination programme is “very successful” but the “vaccines are not 100 per cent successful”, meaning that some people will remain vulnerable and could still die. On reopening, Whitty said this:
“What we are going to see is as things open up, what all the modelling suggests is that at some point we will get another surge of the virus and whether that happens, we hope it doesn’t happen soon, it might for example happen later in the summer as we open up or if there is a seasonal effect it might happen later in autumn or in the winter, there will be a further surge and that will find the people who have either not been vaccinated or where the vaccine has not worked and some of them will end up in hospital and some of them will sadly go on to die. That is the reality of where we are.”
It is astonishing that Chris Whitty can get away with this. The vaccines have been offered and delivered to the most vulnerable members of the population. More than 20 million people have had the jab.
Yet Whitty says that they’re not 100 per cent effective and that people will still die if society reopens. He even says that a third wave is inevitable, either this Spring or later in the year. This is pure undiluted fear porn.
NHS hospitals were no busier this Winter than last Winter. Remember, there was no Covid last Winter. Check the government’s own statistics. On average, bed occupancy was not higher this Winter. That’s a damning statistic.
The government announced this morning that the Nightingale hospitals will be closed in April (for the second time). The facility’s have been virtually empty since the onset of the pandemic. Most of them never saw a single patient.
Whitty and his SAGE colleagues claim that flu and other traditional respiratory illnesses have disappeared in the last twelve months. They just upped and vanished as soon as covid emerged. Hallelujah.
People up and down the country are demanding justice for their family members who died and had covid stamped on the death cert, even though covid had nothing to do with their demise.
And this morning, UK Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty is warning about third waves and more lockdowns and never-ending fucking vaccines and not a single MP on the select committee has the cojones to call him out!
