A new global survey has revealed that young people are terrified of the effects of climate change. The survey, which claims to be the biggest of its kind, found that over half of the 10,000 respondents (56 per cent) believed that humanity is doomed.

The survey across 10 countries was led by Bath University in collaboration with five universities. It’s funded by the campaign and research group Avaaz. It claims to be the biggest of its kind, with responses from 10,000 people aged between 16 and 25.
Many of those questioned perceive that they have no future, that humanity is doomed, and that governments are failing to respond adequately. Many feel betrayed, ignored and abandoned by politicians and adults.
The report’s authors claim that climate fear is making young people ill. They say that chronic stress over climate change is increasing the risk of mental and physical problems in the young. Four in ten of those surveyed said they wouldn’t have children because of their fears for the future.
In Portugal, six young men and women are taking the government to court, claiming that failure to take action on climate change may be defined as cruelty under human rights legislation.
Why are young people so terrified? The answer is of course because the media has largely failed to call out the bullshit spewed by lunatics like Extinction Rebellion’s Roger Hallam.
Hallam and his mates have been popping up on TV and radio for years now claiming that 6 billion people will die this century if we don’t do as they say. The preposterous claim is rarely challenged. Only SKY’s Adam Boulton and former BBC presenter Andrew Neil have taken them on. 
Saint Greta Thunberg stated in her book that civilisation will end if the world doesn’t hit net zero by 2030. It’s monumental bollox and isn’t supported by a single peer-reviewed scientific study.
Speaking in 2019, US Democrat politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made the laughable claim that: “The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.” No-one challenged her. No wonder kids are scared witless by this shameless fear porn.
The frustrating thing is that many proponents of climate change theory are aghast at these ludicrous doomsday scenarios, but they are never seen on television. Writing for Forbes magazine in 2019, Michael Shellenberger, who believes that man-made Co2 is leading to global warming, had this to say:
“no credible scientific body has ever said climate change threatens the collapse of civilization much less the extinction of the human species. In 1931, 3.7 million people died from natural disasters. In 2018, just 11,000 did. And that decline occurred over a period when the global population quadrupled.
I asked the Australian climate scientist Tom Wigley what he thought of the claim that climate change threatens civilization. “It really does bother me because it’s wrong,” he said. “All these young people have been misinformed. And partly it’s Greta Thunberg’s fault. Not deliberately. But she’s wrong.”
I’ve included the link to Shellenberger’s article lest I be accused of cherry-picking the bits that suit my argument. I’m not doing that. There is zero evidence that warming presents a threat to civilisation.

Children are being scared to death by a massive lie. As Shellenberger points out, even the IPCC doesn’t claim that global warming threatens humanity. Yet goons like Roger Hallam and his disciples go on television as often as they like and terrify the country’s children with their prophesies of doom.
