Black Woman “Traumatised” After Palace Aide Asked Her Where She Really Came From

A Buckingham Palace household member has resigned after she was accused of making uncomfortable comments to a guest at a reception held by the Queen Consort.

According to SKY News:

Ngozi Fulani, chief executive of Sistah Space, said she was asked by the household member where she “really came from” during an event at the palace on Tuesday.

Ms Fulani, who is black, works as an advocate for survivors of domestic abuse and described the exchange as a “violation”.

She wrote on Twitter that the woman “approached me, moved my hair to see my name badge” and then insisted on asking her “what part of Africa are you from”.

Despite her saying she is British, the member of staff said: “I can see I am going to have a challenge getting you to say where you’re from.”

Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “We take this incident extremely seriously and have investigated immediately to establish the full details.

“In this instance, unacceptable and deeply regrettable comments have been made. We have reached out to Ngozi Fulani on this matter, and are inviting her to discuss all elements of her experience in person if she wishes.

“In the meantime, the individual concerned would like to express her profound apologies for the hurt caused and has stepped aside from her honorary role with immediate effect.

“All members of the Household are being reminded of the diversity and inclusivity policies which they are required to uphold at all times.”

SKY is also reporting that Fulani has since claimed that she was “traumatised” by the incident.

Traumatised? Violated? Really?

Fulani is the CEO of Sistah Space, a charity that provides support for women and families who are affected by domestic abuse.

You’d imagine she’d be made of sterner stuff, right?

Why didn’t she tell the staff member to fuck off and get her another G&T? Couldn’t she have asked the person to send over his/her supervisor?

Traumatised?

Years ago, I worked in a pub in Kingston upon Thames. One of the regulars was a retired army officer. He hated Irish people with a passion. He’d done a few tours in Derry.

When I was on he wouldn’t be served by me and would make comments about Fenian’s and thick fucking Paddy’s etc.

Traumatised? There was a quiz machine in the boozer. One particularly busy Sunday afternoon the guy rocked up with a few other veterans and his family.

It wasn’t too long before he mumbled something at me.

I challenged him to take me on at the quiz machine. He had no choice as he’d have lost face.

After I handed him his arse fifteen times in a row, I asked him; “Who’s thick now numbnuts?”

“Which private schools did you attend? Shouldn’t you get a fucking refund?” “Don’t fuck with Paddy!”

It got a lot of laughs and his mates took the unmerciful piss out of him.

That actually happened.

Traumatised? By someone insulting my country and my heritage?

Give me a break. I can take care of myself. It would never have occurred to me to have him barred or to report him.

Everyone wants to be a victim these days.

It’s pretty sad.
