Met Police Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist told LBC this morning that the public should not tackle climate change protesters.
Twist did concede that police forces need to up their game.
He told LBC radio host Nick Ferrari that “we’ve got to get in there quick.”
Twist said that for a relatively small group, Just Stop Oil had managed to cause serious disruption, particularly in London. He assured Ferrari that it was the Met’s intention to “bring them to justice.”
