Ukraine’s foreign minister has claimed that Russian troops are raping women. The world’s media is now reporting it as fact, despite the absence of any proof whatsoever.
Speaking to the Chatham House foreign affairs think-tank, Dmytro Kuleba causally dropped into the conversation, the claim that Russian soldiers are targeting women for rape. Kuleba said:
“When bombs fall on your cities, when soldiers rape women in the occupied cities – and we have numerous cases of, unfortunately, when Russian soldiers rape women in Ukrainian cities – it’s difficult of course to speak about the efficiency of international law.”
No-one asked him for proof. Fuck that for a game of soldiers, pun intended.
Oh, the media is wretched. What will they claim next, that Russian troops are marching into maternity wards and chucking babies out of incubators? Give it time.
Will they claim that Russia has deployed chemical weapons?
Of course they will and the public will lap it up.
Independent thought and critical thinking are a distant memory.
