Reluctance Among Young To Come Forward For 3rd Covid Jab

Millions of young adults in the UK have said “no thanks” to the offer of a third covid-19 jab this Autumn. Only one third of 18-20 year-olds have had a third dose. According to some experts, this is because young people believe that the pandemic is over.

According to The Times:

Figures show that third dose uptake is particularly low among younger adults and men. More than 90 per cent of people over the age of 70 have had at least three doses but uptake in younger age groups falls progressively to just a third of 18 to 20-year-olds.

Health chiefs are urging everyone to ensure that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 ahead of a feared “twindemic” of Covid and flu this winter.

Professor Andrew Lee, of the University of Sheffield, said that the relatively low uptake of third doses may be because of vaccine hesitancy increasing since lockdown.

Writing for The Conversation, Lee said: “It may be that some who experienced unpleasant side effects from previous jabs are avoiding further jabs.”

He called for a targeted campaign to drive uptake of third doses, including making appointments easily available in convenient locations such as pharmacies.

The NHS is currently offering an extra booster — a fourth or fifth dose — to all over-50s, health and social care staff and clinically vulnerable patients.

Sheffield University’s Andrew Lee…what a shill. There’s a word that I hardly ever use, but if the caps fits etc.

Lee cannot not know, that leading cardiologists and doctors have broken cover to claim that covid jabs may be responsible for a huge increase in heart problems in all age groups in the UK.

He MUST know this.

It seems that an increasing number of young adults have become cognisant of the dangers of taking experimental medicines for a virus that has barely touched their demographic.

Bully for them.
