The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan wants failing to wear a mask on the London Underground to become a criminal offence. Khan is lobbying the government to allow Transport for London to introduce a new bye-law to mandate mask wearing across the London transport network.
If Khan gets his way, London transport would revert to the rules that were in place before July 19th. Police officers would again have the power to fine and even arrest those who refuse to wear a mask on London’s buses and trains.
Speaking to the BBC News podcast Khan said:
“We are trying to lobby the Government to allow us to bring in a bye-law, so it will be the law again, so we can issue fixed penalty notices and we can use the police service and BTP to enforce this.”
Before too long Khan will be lobbying the government to introduce a Bill de Blasio inspired “London Pass.” I can see it now, Khan addressing Londoners and telling them that they will only be allowed to participate in London life, if they can prove that they have had both jabs.
Earlier this week, New York City Mayor de Blasio told New Yorkers that they wouldn’t be permitted to participate in society unless they had both jabs.
“It is time for people to see vaccination as literally necessary to living a good and full and healthy life,” de Blasio, a Democrat, told a news conference. de Blasio is disgusting. So is Sadiq Khan.
These guys talk pretty tough behind their personal protective details and their police forces. Khan is a little pipsqueak, a total failure of a man and a human being. I wonder if he’d talk so tough without his gang of thugs around him?
