Anna Brees is a strange one. She’s an independent content creator who worked very briefly in mainstream media as a location reporter. Prior to that she worked for Rothschilds on Guernsey.
Gareth Icke, who presents Right Now every Friday for Ickonic.com, was sent a series of screen grabs which revealed that Brees was advising people not to appear on his show. Sound familiar? That’s because it is.
Last year, Brees told a number of doctors and scientists not to appear on The Richie Allen Show. I was hardly surprised. Brees has hated my guts ever since I laughed at a tweet she posted in late 2020 in which she claimed that she couldn’t publish an interview with a covid-sceptic doctor, lest her YouTube channel be deleted.
Fearless journalist my arse. She was rightly laughed out of town and hell hath no fury etc.
She went ballistic and threatened to destroy me with her massive reach if I didn’t retract. I told her to fuck off. She sent me a series of increasingly bizarre emails about the need to protect her brand and how she was putting her life and the lives of her children on the line for the truth. She demanded to come on the show. I told her to name the day. She bottled it and that was that. 
Who is Anna Brees? Damned if I know. I’ve never met her, so my observations are based solely on her conduct on social media.
I’d say that Brees is an opportunist. Before Covid, she had set herself up as some sort of instructor in media techniques. When lockdown hit, she re-styled herself as a fearless reporter who had left the mainstream to bring truth to the masses. None of that is true. Brees overstates or wildly exaggerates her MSM experience. She was a location reporter and not for very long.
She’s never produced or presented a tv or radio show in her life. She has no relevant qualifications. She’s not a journalist. However, we live in a post-truth world, where people can reinvent themselves, make fanciful claims about their achievements and then simply block dissenters.
Brees comes across as a classic narcissist. I couldn’t watch more than a few of her interviews before giving up. She’s a very poor listener and never misses an opportunity to talk about herself and her mainstream media experience.
When she was criticised on Twitter for stitching up Gareth, she did what all narcissists do, she played the victim, tweeting about her struggle to bring truth to the world and her poor children.
Why does she advise people not to appear on Ickonic or on The Richie Allen Show? Is it jealousy? Possibly. The Ickes are long established content creators with millions of followers around the world.
The Richie Allen Show reach speaks for itself. Maybe this bothers Brees, or maybe she’s just very insecure.
Ultimately though, my opinion of her doesn’t really matter. Brees doesn’t need anyone to discredit her. She’s done a bloody good job of it by herself.
Remember, this is the woman who told people to get their information from the BBC, The Guardian and SKY News during the first lockdown. She endorsed the wearing of face-coverings and sold them on her website. She even expressed excitement at the rollout of the covid jabs.
Hardly alternative eh?
