The UK Health Security Agency is urging parents to vaccinate their toddlers against flu.
It claims that young children do not have adequate immunity against flu, because lockdowns all but eradicated the virus.
According to The Times:
Dr Dame Jenny Harries, chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency, said there were reasons to be “anxious” about a potential “twindemic” of Covid and flu.
Data from the agency suggests the flu season has arrived earlier than usual, with hospitalisations rising fastest in under-fives, and Harries said it was important to prepare for a tough winter.
She told a Royal Society of Medicine webinar: “The word ‘twindemic’ is not a guaranteed position for this winter but it’s one that we should be reasonably planning for.
“In Australia what they saw was an H3N2 (flu) wave. It came earlier in the season than it would normally … a couple of months earlier. It left large numbers of children in hospital and there were very high rates in children.
“Of course, many of those younger children have not previously been exposed during periods where there would be normal socialising.”
Harries said: “But we can’t predict the exact timing — it could be quite possible to have both [flu and Covid] rising at the same time; it could be that we have one peak followed by another, which would put substantial pressure on health services; and we might see slightly unusual patterns — for example in younger children, when we tend to think of flu predominantly affecting older individuals.
“The two areas I would promote … partly because of that narrative of what’s happened in Australia over their winter period, is to ensure that younger children at infant school and pre-school, and some of the younger ages in secondary school, are coming forward for nasal flu vaccinations as we approached winter.”
Jennie Harries is a ghoul. Flu didn’t disappear last Winter or the Winter before. I believe it was renamed Covid. In my opinion, lot’s of seasonal ailments were renamed Covid.
Less than a dozen children a year die of flu in the UK. That’s an official figure. Children do not need a flu jab.
In fact, nobody needs it. In a letter to GP’s in 2018, the NHS admitted that the flu vaccine was typically less than 20 per cent effective.
The reason for this is that when they manufacture the jabs, they have no idea what the coming Winter flu strain will look like. Flu constantly mutates to evade detection.
The inveterate and wholly wretched Jennie Harries at the UK Health Security Agency knows this too. What does that make her?
Of course, I am no doctor. But I can read. The flu jab is worthless. Flu doesn’t kill children. Very few children who contract flu become seriously unwell.
Pressuring parents to vaccinate kids against flu is tantamount to medical malpractice.
