The campaign group UsForThem claimed last night, that wearing face coverings in class is causing real harm to children. According to a symptom tracker launched by the group, children are suffering a wide range of side effects caused by wearing masks.
The symptoms include breathing difficulties, headaches and dizziness. Pupils have also reported light headedness, fatigue and facial rashes. The tracker was only launched at the end of last week. Already, more than 50 children have reported falling ill due to wearing a mask.
As part of reopening schools, the government recommended that secondary school students wear a face covering in class at all times, although they didn’t mandate it. Last Autumn, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson dismissed the idea as ridiculous. He said then, that it would impede learning.
A charity representing deaf children sent a Letter Before Action to Education Secretary Gavin Williamson this week, claiming that masks discriminate against deaf kids as it prevents them from reading lips.
According to The Telegraph this morning:
One parent, whose teenage child is required to wear a face mask for between four and seven hours a day, said they experienced “fatigue, headaches, anxiety and a lack of concentration”.
They said that teachers are putting children under “extreme pressure” to wear masks, adding staff make pupils “feel guilty if they ask to take a mask break”.
Another said their child, who has to wear a mask for at least seven hours a day while at school, has developed a “feeling of tightness in the chest and migraines”.
Any head teacher with half a brain would immediately decree that facemasks are banned and then binned. Nobody, let alone children, should wear a face covering because face coverings are totally ineffective when it comes to protection against viruses. This is irrefutable.
More importantly though, the evidence is overwhelming that prolonged wearing of a mask, can cause serious illness. Don’t put facemasks on your children. It could kill them.
